Two horses killed after being hit by separate pickup trucks near Pocatello, Idaho

Pocatello, Idaho – Two horses were killed after being hit by two separate pickup trucks on Thursday south of Pocatello in Eastern Idaho.

According to the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents happened at approximately 6:30pm on Portneuf Road.

Both of the horses died on the scene, but there were no injuries to any of the drivers or other occupants.

The two pickup trucks were reportedly totaled, and the road was temporarily shut down following the incident.

The owner of the two horses was informed after being located by the BCSO deputies.

No further information was immediately available– including how the horses ended up in the roadway.
